Richard Wolf Medical Instruments Corporation is currently seeking a Facilities Technician in Vernon Hills, IL. The Facilities Technician responsible for providing hands-on maintenance and repair services for the facility including coordinating vendor services, as scheduled.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes and responds to all assigned work orders, troubleshooting calls, and emergency maintenance calls.
- Performs maintenance and repairs including but not limited to carpentry, painting, drywall, electrical, plumbing, and furniture move/install as needed and in collaboration with Facilities team members.
- Assists with coordinating various vendor communication (i.e. for HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) including obtaining quotes, scheduling work, and ensuring quality work.
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment logs.
- Assists Manufacturing teams with vendor/equipment manufacturer-proposed preventative maintenance requirements. Ensures corresponding forms/logs are completed to ensure safe and efficient equipment availability/operation. Inform Quality Control if calibration is needed.
- Maintain tools and supplies and coordinate the procurement of needed parts and supplies.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Aware of and complies with the RWMIC Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position.
- Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned by the Facilities & Safety Manager or US Head of Human Resources, Building Maintenance, and IT Infrastructure.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in building maintenance with technical proficiency in relevant trades. (e.g. HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with vendor coordination and contract negotiation highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills within all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic-to-Intermediate PC skills in all major MS office suite products.
- Relevant training or certifications (e.g. trade-specific or OSHA certifications) are a plus.
- Experience with and understanding of cross-cultural differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment
- The following physical demands are required:
- Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours per day.
- Lift/Carry 50+ pounds
- Bend/Stoop/Kneel 4 hours per day
- Push/pull 50+ pounds
