Credit and Collections Specialist Responsibilities:

• Evaluate credit worthiness of potential customers using financial statements, credit reports and other relevant information
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and initiate collections on overdue accounts
• Communicate effectively with customers to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans
• Work closely with sales and customer service teams to address billing disputes and credit holds
• Prepare reports on credit and collections activities for management review
• Recommend changes to credit policies based on industry trends and company financial performance

Credit and Collections Specialist Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Credit and Collections Specialist or similar role, ideally within the logistics or transportation industry
• Strong understanding of credit principles, financial analysis and risk assessment
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
