Vocational Assistant
Job Type: Full-Time Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct support in the areas of programming, mini discovery, and IEP meeting attendance, on-the-job coaching, and job development activities.
- Present information through community presentations/networking events.
- Collaborate with the Transition Coordinator to plan programming.
- Assist with transportation of program participants when necessary, utilizing company vehicles.
- Order and organize supplies for Transition programming.
- Assist the Transition and Supported Employment teams with supports when needed.
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience supporting people with disabilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) is required.
- Ability to work weekdays and early weeknight availability.
- Willing to travel to rural communities in McLean County.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license with safe driving record.
- Current proof of automobile insurance.
- Reliable transportation.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical Requirements

The employee will frequently use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
