Contract Details:

• 13-week travel assignment
• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (option for 48 upon request)
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Start Date: 6/15
• No local candidates (must be outside a 40-mile radius)
• Will float to step-down care as needed

Role Expectations:

• Deliver care in an 18-bed unit, with ICU (2:1) and step-down (3:1) ratios
• Participate as needed in unit-based floating to step-down level care
• Demonstrate proficiency in strong neuro assessments, dysphagia screening, and cardiac tele/EKG interpretation
• Manage complex therapies (vent, ETT, sedatives, paralytics, vasoactive agents, etc.)
• Initiate and titrate drips and oversee sepsis protocols and post-ROSC therapeutic hypothermia
• Collaborate with a resilient, supportive clinical team—charge nurses do take patients
• Embrace a fast-paced, flexible environment with a notably strong core staff

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois RN license
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• At least 2 years recent ICU experience (3 preferred)
• Must have completed one previous travel assignment
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and social skills; adaptability is essential
• Preferred: experience with tPA administration and massive transfusion protocols
