Job Description
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sign Language Interpreter to join a high school team in Grayslake, IL for the 2026-2027 school year! This onsite-only opportunity offers a collaborative school environment, consistent hours, and the chance to make a meaningful impact supporting high school students academically and socially.
Position Details:
Location: Grayslake, IL
Start Date: Monday, August 10th, 2026 (Institute/Training Days)
End Date: Thursday, May 20th, 2027
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-3:30 PM
Hours: 35 hours/week
Setting: High School (9th-12th Grade)
Caseload: 12 students total at the high school level
Interpreting Size: Typically 1-3 students per class
Hourly Rate: $40+/hour
Setting Type: Onsite ONLY
Requirements:
Must have an EIPA Score of 3.5 or higher (no exceptions)
