Senior Accountant

Telular Corporation, a leader in IoT and wireless technology, provides security, home automation, asset tracking, and remote inventory solutions for business and residential customers. For over 30 years, Telular has been providing connectivity solutions that allow people and machines to work together. We are looking to hire a Sr. Accountant at our Mt. Prospect location.

The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for handling all cost accounting and associated transactional management for in-house production. Assist with inventory management, help lead daily operational accounting tasks for production site, prepare journal entries when required and prepare assigned account reconciliations. Other special projects as assigned.

In This Role, You Will

• Process Accounting for internal production
• Manage of work orders and variance analysis in coordination with Operations
• Balance monthly transactions and inventory transfers from across physical locations; reconcile any intercompany activity
• Work in collaboration with shared service team to provide stand alone Trial Balance for statutory reporting for site level production
• Manage standard cost rolls
• Prepare monthly account analyses of various balance sheet accounts
• Assist with monthly close process
• Support the annual audit process
• Prepare required journal entries as directed

The Qualifications For The Role Include

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2 -5 years of experience in accounting; preference to any experience with Cost Accounting
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel & Word required
• Great Plains experience a plus
• Excellent communications skills necessary, verbal and written. Must be assertive and results driven and not afraid to ask questions
• Analytical and problem solving skills a must
• Must be detail oriented with an ability to sort and manage large amounts of data, and the ability to summarize results in a meaningful way

Compensation

Employee Type: Salaried

Salary Minimum: $85,000

Salary Maximum: $105,000
