Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM) hypervisor, Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) administration, and Dell PowerFlex hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI). The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing high-performance, scalable infrastructures that support mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle OLVM Hypervisor Management

• Deploy and administer Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM) environments.
• Manage virtual machines, templates, and clustering for high availability.
• Optimize hypervisor resources, including CPU, memory, and storage allocation.
• Perform updates, patching, and security hardening of the OLVM platform.

Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Enterprise Linux environments.
• Manage system performance, tuning, and troubleshooting for OEL workloads.
• Implement security best practices, including user management, SELinux, and firewall configurations.
• Automate administrative tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, or Ansible).
• Ensure compliance with patching, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.

Dell PowerFlex Management

• Ensure proper configuration, provisioning, and automation of storage resources.
• Configure and maintain Dell PowerFlex network switches, ensuring optimal performance.
• Implement network segmentation, VLANs, and QoS for workload optimization.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and implement the best practices.
• Perform firmware, driver, and software upgrades for PowerFlex systems.

Infrastructure Automation & Monitoring

• Develop automation scripts for provisioning, patching, and performance tuning.
• Implement monitoring solutions to track system health, availability, and performance.

Incident Management & Troubleshooting

• Lead root cause analysis for infrastructure incidents and performance issues.
• Provide Level 3 support for escalated infrastructure problems.
• Collaborate with vendors (Dell, Oracle) for technical support and issue resolution.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

• Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting.
• Train and mentor internal teams on infrastructure technologies and best practices.

Location & Work Arrangement

• Remote, standard business hours.
• Occasional after-hours support for scheduled maintenance tasks and urgent issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills Technical Expertise:

• Oracle OLVM (oVirt-based Hypervisor) Hands-on experience with virtualization management.
• Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) Administration Strong background in Linux server management as well as experience with kSplice as well and other Linux management tools.
• Dell PowerFlex Understanding of architecture, deployment, and management.
• Scripting & Automation Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in Oracle Linux and Dell PowerFlex.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads on Oracle Linux.
• Knowledge of Oracle Linux high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure).

• 10+ years of experience with Oracle Linux and tools, and 5+ years experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI).
