Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Quality Control Engineer / Automotive to join their team. This role partners closely with engineering, production, and customers to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards, resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary quality resource, reporting to the Director of Quality
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer requirements, and internal quality standards
Collaborate with engineering, production, and customers to maintain and improve product quality
Lead or support investigations of customer complaints, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality performance
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
Experience in automotive quality engineering or quality control.
Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 standards.
Proficiency in GD&T and CMM inspection processes.
Experience with PPAP, control plans, and PFMEA.
Ability to perform root cause analysis using 8D and 5-Why methodologies.
Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and software.
Strong communication skills with experience in customer interaction.
