Home Health Aide Job Details

• Location: Glen Carbon, IL (serving a 40-80 mile territory radius)
• Assignment Type: Travel Home Health Aide position
• Duration: 13-week contract (September 2, 2025 – December 2, 2025)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (No weekends, holidays, or on-call)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1090 - $1120
• Patient Visits: 6 home visits per day
• Mileage Reimbursement: $0.55/mile
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrubs: Provide your own (any color/type)

Home Health Aide Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) in homecare or hospice
• Active State of Illinois Home Health/Hospice Aide license (required at time of application)
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Previous travel healthcare experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work efficiently and flexibly within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of Glen Carbon, IL

Home Health Aide Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, hands-on care to adult and geriatric patients in their homes
• Assist with ambulation, turning, repositioning, and safe patient transfers
• Perform personal care tasks: bathing, hygiene, mouth care, perineal care, and shower assistance
• Change linens (occupied and unoccupied beds), provide skin care, and assist with foot care
• Obtain and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature)
• Perform routine catheter care and assist with incontinence care
• Don and remove PPE, follow infection control and isolation precautions, and maintain equipment cleanliness
• Promptly report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in assigned PODs for patient management
• Travel between patient homes within the assigned territory (40-80 miles per day)
