General Manager
GM JOB DESCRIPTIONÂ
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in a craft hospitality environment with a high-level understanding of beverage and cocktail leadership.
- 3 years of experience in a leadership position pertaining to team members, product and facilities.
- Positive and hands-on leadership style. with experience in running fast paced and high volume services.
- Familiar with baseline financial operations including P&L, costing and strategies to positively affect a restaurant’s overall financial health.
- Ability to identify opportunities and to be solution-oriented in regards to service and daily operations.
- High-level understanding of product and inventory leadership.
- Must have open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to frequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willing to complete leadership and administrative responsibilities in a 40-50 hour work week.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Uphold, progress and refine current standards in all areas of operations.
- Lead and uphold all polices and procedures pertaining to team members, guests services and facilities management.
- Communicate professionally and confidently with guests, employees, and leadership.
- Complete team schedules and publish two weeks in advance, adhering to company standards for appropriate staffing levels.
- Review financials daily to r emain very familiar with b usiness costs by category and overall revenue.
- Work and communicate collaboratively with ownership in executing events and marketing opportunities.
- Complete general administrative tasks including opening and closing duties, cash handling, processing refunds, maintaining expectations with team performance .
- Work and communicate collaboratively with the Beverage Leader to ensure successful execution of the coffee + cocktail program.
- Coordinate all training for front of house staff, including updating training materials and scheduling practical exams, and fostering professional development for employees and leadership.
- Provide consistent coaching and support for all hourly employees and possess the ability to fill into any role or position.
