Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Clinic Director who shares our vision for improving and expanding access to quality mental health care. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is comfortable with the fast-paced, evolving landscape of the industry.

The Clinic Director will lead and grow a mental health clinic that delivers high-quality, innovative, and patient-centered services to individuals and families. They will dedicate 60-80% of their time to client-facing work and use the remaining 20-40% to oversee operations, assist with clinical program development, and supervise therapists.

As a key leader in the organization, the Clinic Director will play a pivotal role in the clinic’s success. A combination of strong clinical and management experience is essential for this role. Responsibilities:

Client-Facing (60-80% of time)

  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy to clients, tailoring your approach to each individual's unique needs.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, their families, and other healthcare providers to coordinate and optimize care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative, personalized treatment experiences, leveraging cutting-edge technology and novel therapies.
  • Assist in developing best practices to improve the client-therapist relationship and overall client experience.

Hiring, Training, and Staff Management

  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training clinical staff and ensuring that they are properly licensed and credentialed
  • Assess ongoing development and training needs; conduct training as needed
  • Manage staff performance, holding each team member accountable to meeting performance expectations
  • Provide clinical oversight to the clinic’s mental health practitioners and professionals, including signing clinical documentation for pre-licensed providers
  • Provide 1:1 consultation with therapy staff as needed to review productivity, caseload, and clinical documentation

Clinic Oversight and Leadership

  • Provide administrative oversight to support the functioning of the clinic
  • Develop and implement clinical programs and services
  • Collaborate with owner to implement strategies for clinical efficiency
  • Monitor and manage clinic office schedules and office supplies
  • Identify opportunities to improve client care, quality, and effectiveness, and implement changes in collaboration with owner

Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice in the state of Illinois (LCSW or LCPC)
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience post-licensure, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to work independently and autonomously in managing clinical operations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a range of therapeutic modalities
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a go-getter attitude ready to drive initiatives forward
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage and supervise a diverse team of clinical staff
  • Strong commitment to Tides' mission and core values
