Main Street Academies & SwimJIm a national education and fitness organization is seeking a Director, Site Operations for our scaling and fast paced swim operation in area reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for all locations.

We are a national organization with operations in New York, PA, Chicago, Illinois, Houston, Texas, Miami, Fla and LA & SD, California.

We are seeking a dynamic, forward thinking leader who leads by example and can coach, train and provide exemplary customer service and swim instruction and education for our kids ranging from 4 months old and older, and provide amazing partnership with our pool staff and our membership parents (in our Elk Grove Village, Illinois 60007) in the Chicago area.

Role Description

• Director, Site Operations is a full-time, on-site role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations at a client or company site. This role leads operational planning, coordinates cross-functional activities, and ensures that services and processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with organizational goals.
• The Director, Site Operations will manage budgets, monitor key performance indicators, and implement operational standards to drive quality and consistency. They will identify and execute process improvements, resolve operational issues, and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
• The role includes supervising and coaching site leaders and staff, collaborating with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, and communicating progress, risks, and opportunities to key stakeholders including our aquatics and swim programs.

Qualifications:

• Strong Operations Management skills, including oversight of site activities, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Proficiency in Budgeting and financial oversight, including forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.
• Demonstrated experience driving Operational Excellence through standardization, quality improvement, and metric-based performance monitoring.
• Proven ability in Business Process Improvement, including mapping workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Strategic Planning capabilities to align site operations with organizational objectives and long-term growth plans.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading and developing diverse teams, with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience from within the fitness, swim or education industries preferred
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Exemplary customer service experience and ability to lead by example with all location staff, parents and cross functionally across the organization
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, PMP) are preferred.
