Field Sales Representative
The Field Sales Representative champions alignment between Old World Industries, our distributor partners, and internal sales and marketing teams. This role is responsible for strengthening distributor relationships and driving execution within an assigned territory through product training, sales support, and market engagement. The Field Sales Representative delivers impactful training, supports sales, attends trade shows, and promotes OWI products in the field. This position develops deep expertise in how OWI products are sold through wholesale distribution and retail channels, while identifying market trends, growth opportunities, and creative ways to engage distributor sales teams.
Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute regional sales forecasts and marketing plans in partnership with key distributor distribution centers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor owners, leadership, and sales teams.
- Support local sales initiatives, promotions, and product launches.
- Serve as a primary liaison between distributors and internal sales, marketing, and support teams.
- Deliver product knowledge training through virtual sessions, in-person presentations, and field visits.
- Measure and evaluate KPIs, trends, gaps, and opportunities to ensure alignment with sales objectives.
- Monitor distributor POS and wholesale performance against business plans.
- Identify and qualify sales leads within the assigned territory and communicate opportunities to local sales representatives.
- Coach, train, and educate distributor teams to drive best-in-class execution.
- Organize and support seminars, trade shows, and regional sales events.
- Develop and document product definitions, features, and requirements to support sales effectiveness.
- Provide exceptional customer support throughout the sales, service, and training lifecycle.
- Utilize Tableau and other tools to deliver accurate, timely sales reporting.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 12 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or a related role preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to design, organize, and deliver effective training programs.
- Proven ability to translate business strategy into actionable training and sales initiatives.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Entrepreneurial, solution-oriented, and strategic mindset.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Up to 80% travel required, including occasional weekends.
