Daycare Kitchen Assistant!

Reporting to the Centre Director, acts as an integral member of the Inspire Early Educations (Kids and Company) team to assist in the overall management of day-to-day operations of all food preparation and cooking in the kitchen through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement.

Responsibilities

• Daily Duties include light preparation, heating food, portioning, dishwashing, and delivering food to the classrooms.
• Follow proper washing and sanitizing procedures for all dishware after collection from classrooms
• Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule, including dishwashing, daily, weekly, and monthly duties
• Ensure safe food storage and disposal, including maintaining temperature logs.
• Complies with all health regulations and the company’s best practices
• Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time according to the needs of the daycare centers.

What you need

• 2 years of Kitchen Assistant-related experience
• High School diploma/GED equivalency required
• Current ServeSafe or willing to get
• Experience in a daycare environment would be an asset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Require a clean criminal record check
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 45 pounds
