Tax Licensing Analyst

Position Summary: The Tax Licensing Analyst is part of the Reyes Holdings Tax team but works closely with other business units across the enterprise. This position focuses on state and local business license compliance, payment functions for the tax department, as well as administrative items including mail. The Tax Licensing Analyst has significant interfacing with other areas of the tax department and the Distribution Center teams throughout the company. This position supports and assists the Tax Licensing team with respect to licensing, payments, and other compliance functions. This position provides assistance as needed across the Reyes Holdings Family of Businesses. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Prepare annual business licenses and specialty food and safety licenses as well as running of required reports
• Complete filing, payment, and mailing of business licenses
• Organize and prepare required monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
• Maintain the business license calendar
• Leverage Corporate tax software (CSC)software to develop a knowledge base to keep track of business license filing, management, and renewals
• Prepare and maintain business license process documentation
• Scan and database all documentation received on Business Licensing team's shared drive
• Register new locations for business licenses and determine licensing requirements
• Prepare applications with state and local jurisdictions related to sales promotions with charities
• Analyze and resolve notices and correspondence from various state and local governments agencies
• Assist in the maintenance, reconciliation, and budgeting of accrued license liabilities
• Assist with gathering documentation related to license audits and review daily mail for tax department and provide to relevant parties
• Perform payment processing for tax department
• Assist with packaging and mailing of tax returns
• Assist with tracking of personal property tax billings, making payments, updating calendar and mailing filings, etc.
• Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and 0-1 plus years of experience working within accounting, finance, tax or related field or HS Diploma/GED and 4 plus years of experience working within accounting, finance, tax or related field

• Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office applications i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Ability to learn new software applications
• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with Property Tax Software (PTMS)
• Experience with LicenseHQ and/or LicensePro software
• Notary Public
