HVAC Install Apprentice

Join American Vintage Home, the renowned HVAC and plumbing expert in Evanston, serving the Chicago North Shore area and beyond. We're seeking a skilled HVAC Install Apprentice to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to learn and develop valuable skills while playing a crucial part in installing HVAC systems and delivering exceptional service.

Compensation:

Up to $50,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the lead technician with various install responsibilities
• Follow company policies and manufacturer’s specifications for installing HVAC equipment
• Proficient in low and high voltage wiring, brazing, soldering, and working with flex and sheet metal duct systems
• Safely connect gas lines to heating equipment
• Lift and handle items weighing up to 100lbs safely
• Work in challenging temperature conditions for extended periods
• Perform physical activities such as climbing, crouching, crawling, and kneeling repeatedly
• Conduct tests to ensure the proper function of HVAC systems
• Knowledgeable in various HVAC systems, including split, packaged, and hybrid configurations
• Familiar with commonly used brands such as SpacePak, Lennox, Amana, Crown, NTI, and Daikin
• Experienced with thermostats, including models from Honeywell and Ecobee
