- Complete understanding of all purified water systems components. 5-10 years industrial water system installation experience (including water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, de-ionization, resin, filters, softeners).
- Experience and working knowledge of all plumbing materials, copper and related products (PVC, CPVC, Poly and PVDF).
- Experience managing a small technical team.
- 5 - 10 years' experience working with large commercial water treatment equipment, installation and service, including Lab polishing equipment, Thornton Meters and Millipore equipment with ability to troubleshoot and repair.
- The ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Presentation and facilitation skills with in the classroom training experience.
- Excellent customer service skills, problem solving, oral and written communication and organizational skills required.
- Mechanical Aptitude.
- Must have an understanding of Water Chemistry and basic knowledge of electricity and control wiring. High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- WQA certification and Culligan School courses recommended.
- Computer skills, with demonstrated experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

- Responsible for pre-job and on the job support during large Industrial Installations. This involves improving work place efficiencies safety, product/equipment management and vendor coordination.
- Coordinates with Sales, Engineering and Purchasing on equipment and staffing needs for new installs and large service work.
- Work with Engineering on design when needed.
- Oversee Industrial Service Operations operating out of Burnsville MN.
- Provides supervision to MN Technicians.
- Provide leadership to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
- Maintain QSR procedures, including coordinating training and annual system auditing.
- Developing and monitoring budget for departmental responsibilities.
- Work with company safety committee. Train and coordinate safety training for Industrial service department.
- Supervision includes completion of quarter Core Performance System goals for team members, Hiring and Firing, Pay Recommendations, Training and Performance management including day to day management of activities.
- Control and minimize labor, delivery, administrative supplies and repair expenses.
- Oversees workload including timekeeping and time off schedule.
- Coordinates administrative paperwork with customer service team, accounting and human resources.
- Supports training needs of the Lead Service Technician.
- Manages inventory levels and coordinates needs with Purchasing.
- Schedules and/or conducts training as needed for service technicians.
- Conducts quarterly Core Performance System, goal setting process, with area Service Technicians.
- Responsible for providing quality customer service in the geographic area.
- Provides advanced support, and oversight of installation, start-up, service maintenance, modification and repair of commercial and industrial water purification equipment and systems.
- Works with customers to schedules installation and service.
- Manages work schedule, performance and training of service technicians in area office.
- Supervises deliver and installation of DI tanks for area customers.
- Works with pumps, motors, piping and other mechanical systems.
- Builds electrical control panels.
- Exchange DI tanks and other portable exchange equipment, including troubleshooting and corrective action during the exchange.
- Communicate with the customer verbally or in writing, service related issues, including troubleshooting and diagnosis problems, and recommend the best course of action.
- Stay current on QSR procedures and follow those procedures.
- Prepare daily logs and administrative paperwork regarding daily work.
- Identify sales opportunities and report to Industrial Sales team.
- Keep service vehicle clean, stocked and well organized.
- Drive a fork truck. May load and unload product.
- On-call/after hours resource for industrial service needs.
- Position requires work in a wide range of commercial and industrial facilities including; utility rooms, storage facilities, basements, high-tech industrial work areas, sanitized areas for food preparation or material processing, or hospitals and clinics.
- Ability to drive a service truck.
- Ability to drive a fork truck
- Ability to sit for periods up to two hours or more.
- Ability to walk, stand, reach, and bend for up to 8 hours. Use of stairs and ladder.
- Ability to push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to finger, grasp, and use a keyboard, mouse and other computer equipment.
- Ability to crawl and kneel.
- Ability to speak, hear, read, and write the English language.
- Close visual acuity is required.
- Physical ability for this position is considered heavy exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally. Over 80 pounds assisted. Ability to move 250 pounds assisted.
- Must be able to pass the Ishihara's Color Blindness test.
- Stretching is important at the start of each work day and periodically for alertness. It is beneficial for work safety and personal health
