Job Details

• Location: Peoria, IL - Known for its vibrant community and rich history, Peoria offers a welcoming atmosphere with plenty of cultural and recreational activities.
• Start Date: August 11, 2025
• End Date: November 10, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2020-$2070

Job Requirements

• Successful completion of a respiratory therapy program from an accredited school
• Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the State of Illinois
• Current National Board of Respiratory Care credentials
• Basic electronic medical record documentation skills
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Administer medical gases, medications, airway clearance, and mechanical ventilation
• Perform life-sustaining interventions during emergent situations
• Respond to Blue Alerts and serve as the primary airway manager
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, including advanced modes
• Assess patient effectiveness of therapy and recommend changes
• Document interventions and responses in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Round with the interdisciplinary team in ICUs and intermediate units
