Operations Supervisor
Starting hourly range: $35-$36.50 Some of the tasks you will be responsible for:
- Run bulk/pump/chase/shuttle routes as needed, help with equipment issues.
- Participate in team hiring and training process for both driver and non driver roles.
- Supervise driver team daily in proper safety and job performance.
- Be up to date on all safety training and initiatives and monitor drivers for same.
- Communicate daily with driver team on any safety, truck, or routing issues, and address.
- Create routes using current systems to maximize efficiency and success of each route. Review routes daily for success and efficiency and make necessary cycle adjustments to optimize % full and minimize vents and call ins. Enter necessary data in systems as needed.
- Interfaces with operation manager, fleet and yard departments, sales force, drivers, customers, vendors, and city officials.
- Assist in afterhours calls from drivers and customers and problem solution.
- Handles calls and emergencies on weekends as needed.
- Helps manage to the established budget for the area.
- Within established parameters assist in tracking and ordering supplies for team as needed.
- Must comply with e-log requirements.
- Complete Performance Reviews on time (30/60/90 reviews for new hires and annual reviews).
- Fully participate and support all safety initiatives. Think safety and continually scan the work environment; make suggestions for corrections and improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 100 pounds.
- Handling 2” and 3” hoses while pumping grease.
- Have a valid U.S. CDL A license with 2 years of experience with safety risk rating within Mahoney Environmental acceptable standards.
- Valid Tanker Endorsement.
- Ability to drive manual transmissions and automatic transmissions and use of PTO.
- Computer experience and/or ability to learn logistics/routing programs.
- Superb communication skills (written and verbal).
- At least two years supervisory experience.
