We’re looking for a full time Optician at our Manhattan office who’s as passionate about helping people see clearly as we are. You’ll work directly with patients to guide eyewear selections, ensure perfect fits, and provide the kind of service that makes people smile, literally and figuratively.

What You’ll Do

• Help patients find eyewear that fits their style, needs, and prescription
• Adjust and fit eyeglasses for comfort and accuracy
• Educate patients about lenses, frames, and eyewear care
• Collaborate with optometrists and fellow teammates to deliver seamless, high-quality care
• Maintain detailed, HIPAA-compliant patient records
• Support eyewear orders, billing, and retail transactions
• Stay current on new optical trends, technologies, and products

You’ll Succeed Here If You:

• Have prior experience as an Optician
• Bring strong knowledge of optical products and terminology
• Are familiar with EHR systems
• Excel at communication and creating meaningful patient relationships
• Love working as part of a collaborative, growth-minded team
• Care deeply about delivering exceptional quality and service

Illinois Eye Associates has been serving the south suburbs for more than 15 years. We are a growing, family-owned practice with 2 locations, Manhattan and Peotone. We have cultivated a positive and supportive team atmosphere which is one of the main reasons why patients choose our practice. Ophthalmology technicians will also fit in well here based on the fact we practice full scope care including treatment and management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataract co-management, injuries, infections, and other medical eye care.
