Job Summary:
This position is responsible for performing civil engineering designs and reviewing civil designs for natural gas pipeline facilities. The Civil Engineer supports multiple projects concurrently by providing design expertise and technical review. This role includes leading civil engineering aspects of projects and collaborating with designers and engineers to produce construction drawings. The ideal candidate is also open to learning other aspects of pipeline and pipeline facilities design.

Job Duties:
• This position is responsible for performing civil engineering designs and reviewing civil designs for natural gas pipeline facilities. The Civil Engineer supports multiple projects concurrently by providing design expertise and technical review. This role includes leading civil engineering aspects of projects and collaborating with designers and engineers to produce construction drawings. The ideal candidate is also open to learning other aspects of pipeline and pipeline facilities design.

Qualifications:
• Familiarity with pipeline equipment
• Knowledge of concrete foundation design for pipeline equipment such as pipe supports, filter/separators, line heaters, dehydration units, and small engines
• Able to design concrete foundations for small industrial buildings found in meter and regulator stations such as steel enclosures for meters and regulators
• Able to design foundation for prefabricated equipment skids or small skid mounted control buildings using sonotubes, pads or footers
• Knowledge of site grading and drainage design for meter and compressor stations
• Knowledge of entrance driveway design to pipeline facilities
• Knowledge of foundation equipment utilized in pipeline compressor stations such as coolers, heaters, separators, dehydration units, scrubbers, etc.
• Able to review site survey and Geotech data needed to execute civil design
• Able to work independently and effectively in a remote setting
• Civil Engineering Professional Engineering (PE) License in Illinois and ability to obtain licensure in other states as needed
