Registered Nurse RN - Endoscopy

Overview • Department: Endoscopy • Schedule: Days, 6:30a-3pm with on call  • Facility: Prime Healthcare St Joseph- Joliet • Location: Joliet, IL Responsibilities The GI LAB RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the Shift Nursing Supervisor. Responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care for the  Medical-Surgical Outpatient and/or Inpatients receiving surgical and/or invasive procedure through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescents, adults and older adults. Communicates with physicians, co-workers and/or nursing director, as appropriate about the patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatololgy. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and co-workers to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures. Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate. #LI-ME1 Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1.      Current and valid state RN License. 2.      Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3.      ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4.      Minimum of one year experience in an acute care or outpatient surgery setting or G.I. lab. 5.      Completed Moderate Sedation competency within 30 days upon hire required. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.35 to $53.58. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
