HR Assistant

We are looking for a high-energy, adaptable HR Coordinator to join an Elgin based team for a 3–6 month contract to hire role. This candidate will be a "people person" who can handle everything from high-volume onboarding events to technical troubleshooting for our workforce.

You won’t be stuck behind a desk all day. You’ll assist the HR team during town halls, training meetings, and onboarding events. You’ll be directly supporting the leadership team during a massive period of growth.

What you’ll do:

• Lead temp labor organization and onboarding events.

• This isn’t a 9-to-5. You’ll need to be flexible to support our teams across 5 AM, 11 AM, and 5 PM "touchpoints."

• Handle password resets, print paystubs, and keep the team running smoothly.

• Help deliver presentations and facilitate town halls.

Ideal Candidates are the following:

• Systems Savvy: Experience with Dayforce is a major plus.

• Language Skills: Bi-lingual is a huge advantage!

• approachable, creative, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead onboarding events for temp labor and new hires; ensure all documentation is completed accurately.

• Directly support the HR leadership team with daily administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling and file maintenance.

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding Dayforce (password resets), payroll (printing paystubs), and general policy questions.

• Assist in the organization and delivery of training meetings, town halls, and internal presentations.

• Maintain a flexible schedule to ensure HR presence and support for night shift and mid-shift transitions
