We are currently seeking an experienced, highly seasoned CNC Machinist to help transition our Machining department to the next level in our growth plan. We are currently making considerable capital investment in new, high-end vertical mills and turning centers that are semi-automated to meet current and future business needs. We are willing to pay for proven experience & ability.

Job Overview:

In this role, you will not only setup and run production jobs but also be a facilitator of change. You will use your knowledge and experience to coach & mentor the team members within the department to develop a highly trained and highly competent work force. The ideal candidate will have 6-10+ years of experience in a production machining environment. The critical skills we are seeking are.

  • 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday from 3:30pm-2:00am, overtime (when necessary) on Fridays (partial shift) or Saturdays when the workflow deems necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • · Experience with set-up and operating vertical machine centers (3 axis) with high pressure coolant & Auto Probing
  • · Experience operating lathes with Y-Axis & live tooling with high pressure coolant & bar feeder
  • · Experience exploiting live tool & Y axis capabilities in turning to ensure we maximize the value-added capability of the equipment
  • · Experience in using high pressure coolant to maximize machine & tool performance
  • · Extensive knowledge of tooling and how to maximize the capability of the tool for high productivity -- understanding tool capabilities
  • · Knowledge of how to push & maximize the capability of the equipment to achieve high productivity without sacrificing quality
  • · Experience with Hass controls is preferred
  • · Ability to use a Faro arm or other CMM tool is preferred
  • Experience with M&G coding, blueprint reading, machine set-up, and programming
  • ·Ability to use Mastercam not required but is preferred
  • Capable of using your extensive knowledge & experience to assist management in further developing the team members to achieve the highest standards in quality & productivity
  • ·Ability to assist management with cycle time improvement and cost reduction activity

Physical Requirements and Duties:

  • Ability to reach, turn, twist, and walk.

  • Ability to stand for the duration of a work shift.

  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. at a time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift experience a plus.

  • GD&T and/or Blueprint reading.

  • Experience working in a warehouse environment.

  • High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent. Additional schooling is preferred.

  • Mechanically inclined, excellent spatial reasoning skills. Ability to use micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges and calipers.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Eager to bring your skillset into an advanced manufacturing facility.

  • Must be a detail-oriented person willing and able to contribute to a team effort.

  • Begin and finish each day with a zero-defect mentality and commitment to producing a quality, American made product.

  • Must be able to train new employees and work with existing employees to enhance skillset

  • Experience with deburr
