Program Length : ~10 weeks
Start Date: Rolling openings based on school schedules
Compensation: $50+ per instructional hour (flexible based on experience, program, and commute)
About the Role
Concorde Education is seeking a Dungeons & Dragons Instructor to lead engaging, story-driven after-school sessions for students. This program uses collaborative gameplay to build communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity in a structured, school-appropriate environment.
The instructor (Dungeon Master) will guide students through age-appropriate adventures while fostering inclusive participation and positive group dynamics.
What You’ll Teach
- Students will learn the fundamentals of tabletop role-playing through guided gameplay, including:
- Character creation and storytelling
- Game mechanics and decision-making
- Problem-solving and strategic thinking
- Collaboration, communication, and teamwork
- Creative thinking and improvisation
- Group-based storytelling and adventure progression
Responsibilities
- Lead structured, engaging D&D sessions for small to mid-sized groups
- Guide collaborative storytelling and ensure all students participate
- Prepare simple session plans (adventures, encounters, materials as needed)
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed environment
- Adapt gameplay to student skill levels and group dynamics
- Communicate with site staff and track attendance/session completion
Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 college credits
- Experience running Dungeons & Dragons or similar tabletop games
- Experience working with kids or teens (teaching, camps, after-school, etc.)
- Strong facilitation and group management skills
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable in a school setting
- Ability to keep content age-appropriate and inclusive
