Graphic Design Technician
DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS: Primary responsibility is graphic design, print, and website, (utilizing Adobe software solutions and prepress software associated with the department’s production printers) and special projects. This position must also be ready to serve as a Key Operator I and/or assist Key Operator I personnel as needed. Utilizes Adobe software solutions (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.), Canva and current prepress software (PRISMAprepare) to create documents for print and web, including, but not limited to, brochures, forms, business cards, flyers, programs, marketing material, etc. Sets up, adjusts, operates and maintains the electronic duplicator and print system. Inputs job ticket information into chargeback system. Oversees print shop operations in the absence of the Print Shop Supervisor I. Works with management and staff to ensure that quality control and level of service reflects the goals of the department.
Associate’s degree in a field related to print or web design or print production. Proficient computer and software skills (must be experienced with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and also be proficient in MS Word, MS Publisher and MS PowerPoint. Must have six months’ experience in a similar networked printing environment. OR Four (4) years’ experience key Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); must be proficient in MS Word, MS Publisher and MS PowerPoint. Must have two (2) years’ experience in a similar networked printing environment. Must successfully pass Inbasket skills assessment for Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator prior to employment. Successful completion of physical lift test. Experience with Canva is preferred. Valid driver’s license and minimal liability insurance required as required by law.

SALARY RANGE: $19.4410-$27.4635 (C6-E2 Non-Exempt, Union)
