Interior design assistant
As the Interior Design Assistant, you will support the principal designer with day-to-day operations, client projects, and administrative needs. This includes preparing proposals, sending invoices, coordinating schedules, managing social media, and assisting with client meetings and showroom visits. You’ll also help ensure projects run smoothly from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and client-facing documents
- Process and send invoices; assist with bookkeeping (QuickBooks knowledge a plus)
- Manage company schedule and coordinate appointments
- Assist in managing social media accounts and content posting
- Attend client meetings and showroom visits to support material and finish selections
- Occasionally run errands related to client projects
- Support drafting and project work (Chief Architect knowledge a plus; training provided)
- Provide general administrative and organizational support
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Suite
- QuickBooks experience preferred but not required
- Interest in interior design, remodeling, or related industries
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely while collaborating with a team
- Willingness to occasionally travel locally for client meetings and errands
Work Environment
- 50–75% remote work flexibility - need to be located in the Chicagoland area
- Full-time role with potential benefits package (medical, vision, and dental)
