Receptionist (Daily Pay Available)

Job Title: Receptionist
SUMMARY: The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and staff. This position is responsible for greeting guests, answering incoming calls, directing inquiries appropriately, and performing general administrative tasks to support the daily operations of the facility. This is a Part-Time day position from 8am-430pm. 4 days a pay period which includes every other weekend.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates the telephone switchboard to answer, screen, and forward calls; provides information and takes messages as needed.
Greets all visitors entering the facility and directs or escorts them to their destination.
Assists residents, family members, employees, and other visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Performs general administrative tasks such as word processing, data entry, and filing.
Maintains the general filing system and ensures all correspondence is appropriately organized.
Receives and sorts daily mail, packages, deliveries, and courier items.
Maintains visitor and access logs to ensure building security, and monitors surveillance footage as required.
Maintains transportation schedules and records to ensure residents are prepared for and arrive at scheduled appointments.
Communicates effectively with other departments to ensure smooth front desk operations.
Reports any issues or concerns related to residents or visitors to the Administrator promptly.
Maintains confidentiality of resident and facility information at all times.
Adheres to professional standards and facility policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative support role preferred; long-term care experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to operate a multi-line phone system and standard office equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language clearly.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Professional and friendly demeanor with a commitment to customer service.
