Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Clinical laboratory Technologist. You will be responsible for performing and overseeing clinical laboratory testing, ensuring quality control, instrument maintenance, and compliance with all regulatory standards across various laboratory units.
Job Description
- Perform a wide range of clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers.
- Conduct and document daily quality control, calibration, and instrument maintenance.
- Validate test results, identify discrepancies, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and biohazard handling protocols.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with institutional policies.
- Collaborate with laboratory leadership, medical technologists, and clinical teams to ensure timely and accurate testing.
- Participate in proficiency testing, competency assessments, and continuing education activities.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
- Strong understanding of laboratory testing principles, instrumentation, and quality control.
- Solid background in chemistry and hematology, with acute care experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Required: Associate degree from an accredited Clinical Laboratory Technology program.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or a related field.
- Required: Valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist issued by NYSED .
- Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Additional Requirements
- Shift: 12AM-8AM
Pay Rate
- Up to $59.00 per hour depending on experience
