The Role

RedMane has a full-time opportunity for a Natural Adabas Developer/Analyst as we continue to grow our Chicago based practice. You will provide system analysis, development and production support as part of a project team. You will design functional and technical approaches to create and customize functionality. The Developer / Analyst is also responsible for the execution of testing, training, support of user testing and customer support post implementation.

Skills & Role Requirements

• 8+ years' Natural Adabas development experience.
  
• Proficiency in developing software solutions using NATURAL/ADABAS development tools in a mainframe environment.
  
• Proficiency in JCL.
  
• Provide documentation of system enhancements and modifications performed as part of software maintenance/enhancements.
  
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients.
  
• Ability to facilitate requirement sessions with the user community.
  
• Translate requirements into functional specifications for client approval.
  
• Actively schedules and attends code reviews to maximize quality, security, and maintainability of all software.
  
• Quickly identify and resolve complex technical issues and recommend robust solutions.
  
• Prepare detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written.
  
• Provide production and implementation support.
  
• Reports on project status, challenges, and results to stakeholders.
