Location: Onsite Rockford Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Salary: $17.12 -$21.39 /hour based on experience What work will you perform? ​In this role, your primary responsibility will be to manage initial incoming calls and internet applications from potential Owner/Operators interested in leasing and onboarding with Landstar. Your objective is to build rapport and guide candidates through Landstar's application process, ensuring they remain engaged and informed. This will involve daily inbound and outbound calls to communicate Landstar's minimum requirements and address any concerns that may delay their application. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Present total Landstar opportunity in a fashion which persuades callers to request or agree to complete application.
  • Make appropriate follow-up calls to ensure the candidate follows through with completing and returning the application.
  • Meet or exceed monthly personal goals pertaining to calls, leads, leads returned and leads sent to Qualification Center.
  • Comply with the daily call center schedule.
  • Participates in the coordination, set up, display, and working truck shows.
  • File and maintain records for future references.
Required Minimum Experience and Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months call center experience, customer support experience, or combination of both
Preferred Experience and Education:
  • 6 months transportation/logistics experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills; emphasis in phone etiquette
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
  • Must be able to perform quality work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • General knowledge of recruiting practices; ability to engage and retain
