CMO
LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing nonprofit here in Chicago in their search for a Chief Marketing Officer.
The CMO leads the organization’s marketing and communications strategy, driving brand awareness, growth, and mission impact. As a member of the senior leadership team, this role provides strategic vision and oversight for marketing, communications, and brand positioning, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all internal and external channels.Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing, communications, and branding strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and goals
- Define and maintain a consistent brand voice and identity across all channels
- Lead public relations, external communications, and content strategy to increase awareness and engagement
- Serve as a brand ambassador and trusted advisor to executive leadership
- Oversee market research, performance metrics, and data-driven optimization of campaigns
- Manage marketing budgets, resource allocation, and ROI tracking
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global marketing and communications team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with fundraising, content, and operations teams to ensure alignment and execution
- Manage agency, vendor, media, and strategic partnership relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of senior marketing leadership experience; 5+ years in nonprofit experience required
- Proven success developing and executing integrated marketing and brand strategies
- Strong understanding of marketing channels, tools, and performance analytics
- Strategic, data-driven thinker with exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams
- Experience managing budgets and measuring marketing effectiveness
- Ability to align messaging with mission-driven and values-based audience
This position pays $225k+ as a base salary, dependent upon experience, and offers a full suite of benefits including (but not limited to): summer Fridays, fitness center benefits, short-term and long-term disability, medica insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401k, and a generous PTO policy.
This position requires the candidate to be in office three days a week in Chicago.
