Job Title: Process Architect

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, this position is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and automation potential. The role requires expertise in conducting FMEA, VAVE assessments, facilitating 3P events, and implementing industry standards such as ISO9000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead 3P events and maintain Value Stream Maps and Process At A Glance control documents for one or more value streams and NPD projects.
  • Conduct or participate in Process Mapping, FMEA, RIEs, 9-Step Problem Solving, Quality Control Plan development, and DFM initiatives to ensure continuous process improvement.
  • Manage manufacturing engineering projects, including preparation of detailed project plans with estimated task hours and timelines for development, production, validation, and launch. Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Oversee research and development of new manufacturing equipment, processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Improve manufacturing processes by reviewing engineering deliverables for technical accuracy and adherence to standards and schedules.
  • Lead projects through detailed planning and execution of innovative changes across assigned assets, including equipment upgrades and optimizations.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure design for manufacturability of new products. Participate in design reviews and act as liaison from inception through shipment.
  • Analyze capital equipment needs for new technologies and business requirements. Investigate, plan, and implement capital projects.
  • Identify new opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.
  • Prepare reports, approve expenditures, enforce rules, and recommend installation of new equipment. Communicate and collaborate with other managers and departments. Deliver engineering-related presentations as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with computer and data analysis programs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in new product production integration or significant operational improvement projects.
  • Ability to lead projects from start to finish, on time and within budget.

Preferred Skills:

  • Project management and leadership experience.
  • Six Sigma, Red X, or other problem-solving certification.
  • Lean manufacturing certification.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of an organization.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:

  • General office environment with PC use.
  • Occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
  • Stooping and standing.
  • Frequent heavy lifting (25 lbs or more).

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Typical pay range: $96,555 – $125,563 annually (based on skills, experience, and qualifications).
