Rolling Prairie Farm is a 3200 acre corn and soybean operation located in central Illinois. The two generation family operation also grows some wheat to balance the crop rotation. The family has been long committed to soil and water conservation and has served on the county Soil and Water Conservation Board and as a trustee for the Township Drainage District. They demonstrate that commitment every day in how they operate the farm and serve their community. They are looking for someone to join their team who wants to share that commitment.

They are a Becks Hybrids Seed dealer and also raise seed beans for Becks.

Their grain system includes a grain leg, scales, and several bins, plus warehouse facilities for the seed business.

All grain is hauled to market with their semi truck and trailers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Operation and general maintenance of the farm equipment and maintenance of the farmstead.
Ability to operate large farming equipment. operate semi tractor / trailers to haul grain during and after harvest. No over the road over night hauling. Repairing field tile. Spring and fall field work. Warehousing and delivering seed. Maintenance on grain bins and dryer.
• Operate, Maintain, Troubleshoot and Preform Light Repairs on Modern Farm Equipment including
• Four wheel tractors
• Front assist four wheel drive tractors
• Tillage equipment
• Planters
• Field sprayers
• Combines
• Grain Carts
• GPS and computer equipment system
• Semi tractors and trailers
• Forklifts
• Operate and Maintain Grain Drying Equipment and Grain Storage Facilities
• Climb bins and maintain bins
• Hauling grain during and after harvest. No over the road over nights.
• Repairing field tile.
• Spring and fall field work.
• Warehousing seed and seed delivery.
• Maintenance on grain bins.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge of a working grain farm .
• Class A CDL license.
• Demonstrated ability to operate large farm equipment.
• General farm maintenance
• Able to Keep accurate and timely maintenance records.
• Ability to work flexible hours during spring planting and fall harvest.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Experience working on a grain farm.
• Must have experience operating large farm equipment. Such as John Deere 4 wheel drive, John Deere Front Wheel Assist, John Deere Combine,
• Semi tractors and trailers and varies other equipment.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent

SKILLS
• Class A CDL license
• Experience operating large modern farm equipment
• General maintenance such as painting, carpentry, etc.
• Shop skills: welding, wood working, fabricating, tire changing, etc

One week paid vacation after first year. More time will be added according to employment on the farm. Other benefits may be added for proven employee.
