Mobile Ford Technician Lead

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Ford Technician Lead to support and grow our mobile service division. This is a hands-on technician role where the ideal candidate is a strong Ford-certified technician who can perform repairs in the field, manage daily routes, support existing commercial accounts, identify upsell opportunities, and help expand the business over time.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to be more than a technician — someone who wants to help build, scale, and eventually manage a growing mobile service operation.

Location: Gurnee, IL
Pay Rate: $26.00/hr-$30.00/hr (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm (some overtime may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mobile diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services on Ford vehicles
• Plan, run, and optimize daily mobile service routes
• Serve as the primary technician point of contact for commercial and fleet accounts
• Identify upsell opportunities within existing accounts (maintenance, repairs, service programs, etc.)
• Assist in identifying and pursuing new commercial service opportunities
• Provide input on pricing, service offerings, and operational improvements
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and professionalism in the field

Qualifications

• Ford-certified technician preferred (or equivalent Ford experience)
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Experience working independently and in field/mobile environments
• Commercial or fleet service experience strongly preferred
• Customer-facing, professional, and business-minded
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
