Ballyhoo Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic Dishwasher to join Zenzi Den in Glenview.

The space blends Japanese-inspired comfort with a buzzy, come-as-you-are energy, layered with natural textures and intentional design. Thoughtfully sourced meats, seafood, and vegetables hit the robata grill, where live fire does what it does best, deep flavor, real soul. Whether you’re settling in for a low-key dinner or gathering the crew, Zenzi Den brings Ballyhoo’s signature feel-good dining and genuinely warm hospitality to the table.

Job Summary: The Dishwasher is responsible for washing, polishing, transporting and storing all pots, pans, utensils, glassware and tableware used in the food and beverage operations in an efficient and proper manner.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Clean, sanitize and store properly all china, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots and pans.
• Responsible for the proper sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchens and food preparation areas, including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, preparation slicers, steam kettles, tables and floors.
• Maintain clean dish machines with appropriate chemicals.
• Maintain three compartment sinks with appropriate chemicals.
• Assist in delivery drops, stocking products, breaking down boxes and recycling them properly.
• Maintain swept and mopped areas that are high traffic including but not limited to walk- in coolers and hallways.
• Maintain clean and swept areas in the back of the restaurant including but not limited to near and around the trash/recycling receptacles, linen deposit bin, basement and back doors.
• Perfumes other duties as assigned.

Job Related Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to remain calm during high volume service or difficult situations.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand and bend for a long period of time
