Data Entry Specialist & Clerical Worker

Based in Park Ridge, IL

Park Ridge based labor union seeks an individual with experience processing high volume data entry and assistance with various office clerical work.

The ideal candidate must possess an excellent attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.

Background in data entry required.

Responsibilities/ job duties include but are not limited to:

• Posting and balancing union dues payments to over 10,000 membership accounts daily
• Generating billing notices on a weekly and monthly basis
• Tracking and monitoring of delinquent accounts including the creation of accurate delinquency reports and summaries
• General clerical duties including: filing, mail processing, copying, meeting and event set up, data entry, and maintaining records
• Answering phone calls and managing front desk as needed
• Handling billing questions and other general office duties including contacting companies and individuals when needed to resolve issues with payments or billing
• Providing excellent customer service to all members, visitors to address inquiries promptly
• Providing other staff members with various administrative and clerical support as needed

Skills:

• Fluency in English required. Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
• Past experience with labor unions strongly preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as other Office programs (including Word & Outlook). Candidates will be required to take and pass a timed excel test as part of screening process.
• Applicant must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient. Must have excellent accuracy and a sense of urgency.
• Knowledge and ability to complete basic office duties (typing letters, emails, faxing, scanning and bulk mailings).

Job type: Full-time hourly in office
Pay rate: $20.00/hour – $25.00/hour
