Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in learning technology, operations management, or process management
  • Up to 25% domestic travel as needed
  • Proficient in identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions using Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies to drive measurable business outcomes
  • Experienced in leveraging digital platforms and emerging technologies to design, deliver, and optimize training programs that enhance learner engagement and accessibility
  • Proficient in applying AI tools and techniques—including machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI—to automate processes, generate insights, and drive innovation
  • 2+ years of experience managing teams or projects
  • 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise-wide learning functions, including implementation, vendor management, and continuous improvement
  • Expertise in process management and operational excellence
  • Experience with agile methodologies and program management
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Proven success implementing and monitoring measurement frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of corporate learning programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-focused mindset
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise learning platforms
  • Demonstrated expertise in enterprise learning platform administration and optimization
  • Experience executing learning ecosystem initiatives in large, complex organizations
  • Background in both product and process management methodologies
  • Proven track record of supporting talent strategy and learning effectiveness through technology and process execution

About the job:

The Manager - Learning Experience & Processes position is responsible for executing the strategic vision for United’s learning ecosystem, ensuring seamless delivery of modern learning experiences for all employees. This role requires strong operational expertise and process management skills to implement and optimize how employees access, engage with, and complete learning in a highly regulated and operationally complex environment.

As part of the Employee Experience team, this role will execute best-in-class solutions to complex enterprise challenges by leveraging technology, analytics, operational rigor, and design excellence. The Manager will partner closely with the Senior Manager, Global Learning, HR, Operations, and Technology teams to implement and maintain a seamless, scalable learning ecosystem that supports continuous development and organizational growth. This role will ensure learning systems, processes, and tools are effectively communicated, deployed and maintained to meet growing demands, workforce evolution, and the rapid acceleration of AI-enabled learning.

Core accountabilities / key responsibilities:

  • Execute the learning ecosystem strategy, implementing integrated platforms that support United’s growth, operational excellence, and regulatory requirements
  • Implement and manage product roadmap initiatives, including immersive learning, simulation, and AI-enabled tools
  • Apply process improvement discipline to execute workflows, system integrations, and user experiences across the learning technology stack and manage day-to-day operations of learning platforms, ensuring system reliability, user support, and continuous improvement
  • Support evaluation of platform capabilities and assist in building business cases to guide technology decisions
  • Implement governance, policies, and operational frameworks to manage systems, integrations, analytics, vendors, budgets, and content delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to execute platform requirements, process improvements, and roadmap priorities

The base pay range for this role is $102,220.00 to $133,194.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
