The Travel Sourcing Specialist supports the Global Travel Director with travel related sourcing initiatives and managing travel operations globally. A critical component of this role includes designing and distributing tailored reports and analyzing spend data to identify and communicate demand savings opportunities and compliance reporting metrics.
This role serves as a primary customer service point of contact for Gallagher travelers and travel arrangers who pose questions, raise requests and/or have challenges with any aspect of their travel bookings.
The role encompasses significant responsibility for key program monitoring and reporting, measuring compliance to travel and expense policies, communicating items of importance to travelers, and escalating issues to vendors.
The ideal candidate will have a background working in the travel industry as well as a keen interest in staying abreast of emerging technologies and key overall travel industry trends He/she should feel confident in proposing changes and/or enhancements that will improve Gallagher’s global programs.
The Travel Sourcing Analyst is a highly accountable, global-facing role responsible for driving performance, execution, and continuous improvement across the travel program.
How you'll make an impact- Own the day-to-day performance of global Egencia programs, serving as the primary point of contact for travelers and employees while proactively resolving issues and enhancing the user experience.
- Act as the subject matter expert on Egencia, independently troubleshooting functionality and usability challenges while identifying opportunities to improve adoption and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain global SOPs, ensuring consistency, scalability, and operational excellence across all regions.
- Lead travel data analysis and reporting, translating insights into actionable recommendations that drive cost savings, improve policy compliance, and influence strategic decision-making.
- Support and strengthen the Travel & Expense Policy, including delivering regular training to new employees and acquisition partners, and maintaining internal resources to ensure clarity and adoption.
- Partner on sourcing strategy and supplier negotiations, supporting contracting and performance management across airlines, hotels, car rental providers, and other key vendors.
- Own the rollout and management of international points of sale across EMEA, Latin America, and APAC, with a strong focus on Latin America expansion—ensuring alignment to global standards while adapting to local market, regulatory, and cultural requirements.
- Leverage Spanish language skills to support Latin America operations, enabling effective communication, stronger stakeholder engagement, and successful regional execution.
- Build and manage strong global supplier relationships, driving accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Establish a regular cadence with regional travel liaisons, ensuring alignment, visibility, and effective issue resolution across markets.
- Serve as a trusted backup to the Global Travel Director, stepping in to support leadership, decision-making, and program continuity as needed.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging solutions, providing insights that inform sourcing strategy and enhance the overall travel program.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years related experience or High School diploma and 6 years experience in indirect sourcing and operations.
- Working knowledge of travel and expense commodity categories.
- Exceptionally strong written/verbal communication skills. Proven track record in analytical and prioritization skills.
Preferred:
- Three to five years of experience in corporate travel program management.
- Experience with indirect sourcing of airlines, hotels, car rentals and payment systems.
- Basic familiarity with travel agency operations and/or diverse online technology solutions.
- Ability to work self-directed in fast paced, multitasked, and matrixed environment. Self-motivated, proactive, independent and responsive.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Spanish written/verbal communication skills
- Fluency with Microsoft Suite ( Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Experience in working and presenting financial information to develop consensus and buy-in for data-based decisions.
- Ability to collaboratively and positively influence internal and external clients and suppliers
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Highly organized, results-oriented, and attentive to details.
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
