Role:Account Executives - Healthcare & Life Sciences

Location: Chicago/Dallas
Employment Type: Full-time

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth within the healthcare and life sciences sector. This role requires a proven sales professional with deep understanding of healthcare technology challenges, regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FDA, GxP), and digital health transformation initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and closing high-value opportunities with hospitals, health systems, pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and medical device manufacturers.

What You'll Do

Healthcare & Life Sciences Account Development

  • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets for healthcare cloud transformation and digital health projects
  • Develop vertical-specific strategies for healthcare providers, payers, pharmaceutical, and biotech segments
  • Build relationships with CIOs, Chief Medical Officers, and Chief Digital Health Officers
  • Navigate complex healthcare compliance and patient data privacy requirements
  • Lead pursuit of large-scale EHR modernization, clinical research, and drug discovery initiatives

Industry-Specific Solution Selling

  • Understand unique challenges including HIPAA compliance, interoperability, clinical workflows, and patient safety
  • Position cloud solutions that address healthcare-specific requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, 21 CFR Part 11, GxP)
  • Collaborate with healthcare IT experts to develop use cases for clinical systems, research platforms, and patient engagement tools
  • Develop proposals addressing outcomes like improved patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance
  • Navigate complex healthcare procurement processes and group purchasing organizations (GPOs)

Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership

  • Stay current on healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and digital health innovation
  • Participate in healthcare IT conferences, medical conferences, and life sciences events
  • Build relationships with healthcare industry analysts and thought leaders
  • Represent Trianz at healthcare associations (HIMSS, Bio, PhRMA) and networking events

What You Bring

Experience & Background

  • 8-10 years of proven enterprise sales experience within healthcare or life sciences industry
  • Track record of selling complex technology solutions to hospitals, health systems, pharmaceutical, or biotech companies
  • Deep understanding of healthcare business models, clinical workflows, and regulatory landscape
  • Experience managing sales cycles of 12-36 months with highly regulated healthcare organizations

Healthcare & Life Sciences Expertise

  • Knowledge of healthcare IT systems (EHR, PACS, LIS, clinical decision support)
  • Understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, GDPR)
  • Familiarity with clinical research processes, drug discovery, and medical device development
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM)

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong relationship-building skills with healthcare executives, clinicians, and life sciences leaders
  • Ability to articulate technical solutions in terms of patient outcomes and clinical benefits
  • Understanding of healthcare quality measures, patient safety, and population health management
  • Executive-level communication skills for presenting to medical leadership and boards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Business, or Engineering; advanced degree preferred
  • Previous experience working for healthcare organizations, EHR vendors, or life sciences companies
  • AWS Healthcare certifications or healthcare IT certifications (CPHIMS, CHPS)
  • Existing network within healthcare technology leadership or life sciences R&D
  • Experience with clinical trial management systems and regulatory submission processes

Compensation & Benefits

Trianz compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay ranges between USD $$125,000 to $175,000. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Trianz also offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, FSA, EAP, 401(k) with Company matching, unlimited PTO, flexible schedule, and professional development assistance.
