Personal Lines Account Manager

Position Overview: Personal Lines Account Manager We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused Personal Lines Account Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carrier representatives while delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to represent the agency positively in both professional and community settings. A positive outlook and growth mindset are essential to success in this position. Licensing Requirements A valid insurance license is required for this role. If you do not currently hold an insurance license, it is expected that you complete and obtain your license within 90 days of employment. We cover the cost of the licensing class and exam to support your success. Compensation
- Pay Range: $30,000 - $60,000/year

- Provide exceptional service for assigned accounts, following agency best practices.
- Proactively address client needs, inquiries, and service requests.
- Manage the marketing and placement of new business and renewal accounts.
- Achieve sales and retention goals by identifying opportunities for account rounding and up-selling.
- Conduct annual reviews and risk assessments to ensure appropriate coverage for renewal policies.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files, including processing policies, endorsements, invoices, certificates, and documentation.
- Manage renewal expiration lists, binders, and aged receivables.
- Review and verify processed items for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting requirements and carrier guidelines.
- Prepare and issue billing statements in accordance with credit and collection policies.
- Stay current with industry trends and carrier updates by participating in continuing education courses and reviewing relevant publications.
- Develop expertise in insurance products, practices, and risk management techniques.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
- Proficient in technology, including Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as phone system operations.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Advanced verbal and written communication abilities.
- Desire to acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of insurance industry products and practices.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Knowledge of brokerage operations, including claims handling, rating, and applicable insurance laws.
- Familiarity with risk assessment and management techniques.
