Bakery Line Performance Manager

Lead line performance at an iconic Chicago bakery

We’re looking for a results-driven people leader to run a key production line and build enduring technical capability on the floor. If you thrive on clear goals, data-driven problem solving, and coaching teams, this role is for you.

Your impact

• Translate site objectives into measurable line and unit targets across safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale.
• Plan and control budgets, manage costs, and ensure governance and compliance.
• Apply TPM and Six Sigma to eliminate losses and sustain gains (qualified through AM Steps 5–6 and PM Step 3).
• Maintain assets at basic conditions and uphold AM/PM standards on dedicated equipment (AM Step 4, PM Step 3; break-down and planned maintenance).
• Build a high-performing team: recruit, retain, develop, succession plan, and identify high-potential talent; lead effectively in a union environment.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Experience leading line teams with strong written and verbal communication and meticulous attention to detail.
• Tact and composure when navigating challenging interpersonal situations.
• Hands-on autonomous and progressive/planned maintenance capability on production assets.
• Continuous improvement mindset using TPM and Six Sigma methodologies.

Where and when you’ll work

100% on-site at our Chicago Bakery, 7300 S Kedzie Ave, Chicago IL 60629. Primary assignment is first shift; other shift options may be considered.

Rewards

• Base salary: $83,800–$115,225 (dependent on experience, skills, education, and budget).
