Medical Biller

About Us:
We are a growing Rheumatology practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an additional Medical Biller to join our administrative team and support our billing operations.

Position Overview:
The Medical Biller will be responsible for managing billing and reimbursement processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is preferred but not required —we are willing to train the right candidate. This is an office position. DO NOT SEND FOR REMOTE!

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and submit medical claims to insurance companies and government payers.
• Post payments and reconcile accounts.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and initiate appeals when necessary.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Manage patient billing inquiries and statements.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all billing regulations.
• Collaborate with providers, staff, and management to resolve billing issues.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in medical billing (specialty practice experience a plus).
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and claim submission processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (eCW experience preferred).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
