CNC Operator
A CNC Operator is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Grayslake, IL area. This role requires a high school diploma and at least two years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines (preferably Haas) to produce precision parts based on blueprint specifications. location: Grayslake, Illinois

education: High School responsibilities:
- Execute CNC machine setups using basic programming commands and tool offsets.
- Fabricate components by reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Prepare, load, and secure raw materials onto CNC machinery for processing.
- Perform tooling changes and adjustments to maintain precision and machine efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Quality department to conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gages.
- Ensure production output meets or exceeds established company productivity standards.
- Identify and communicate discrepancies in drawings or BOMs to the Cell Lead.
- Operate air and power tools safely while adhering to all facility safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by returning tools and supplies to designated locations daily.
- Document work progress and utilize Excel for basic data entry and production tracking.
- Apply mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills to solve machining problems independently.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
- Full understanding of machining tools, drills, tap, bores, etc.
- Aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computers, including working knowledge of Excel.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Communicate effectively.
- Proficiency with various types of equipment such as: Air and power tools, Micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures and gages.
- Ability to work independently.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two or more years of experience setting up CNC machines, preferably Haas.
