Shipping Specialist
Shipping Specialist responsible for preparing, packaging, and dispatching outgoing orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of dental products.
- Key responsibilities
- Prepare, package, and label orders according to specifications and quality standards.
- Verify items against order documentation and update inventory/warehouse management systems.
- Create and maintain shipping documentation (packing slips, bills of lading, carrier labels).
- Coordinate pickups and shipments with carriers and vendors.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks; assist with loading and unloading shipments.
- Follow carrier regulations and safety protocols, including handling of fragile or regulated items.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and report discrepancies or damages promptly.
- Required skills and qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and warehouse management or shipping software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and order verification.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift and move packages.
- Effective verbal communication and ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
- Preferred
- Prior shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience; experience in a dental or medical device environment is a plus.
- Experience operating forklifts or other powered material handling equipment (training/certification as applicable).
