Manager of Residential Services

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager of Residential Services oversees the administration of all aspects of the day to day operations, coordination, and administration of the residential programs at El Valor, which includes six Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) homes. This vital role involves managing daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring high-quality care for residents, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, extensive experience in senior and long-term care settings, and a passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and dementia-related conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Human Services field from an accredited school of higher education required.
  • Experience as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Minimum 5 years management/supervision experience in related field.
  • A deep passion for advancing equity and strengthening communities — and a belief in El Valor’s mission to support families and adults with disabilities.
  • Fluent verbal and written English and Spanish communication strongly preferred but not required.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Reliable means of transportation required.
  • Valid, Illinois driver’s license required.
  • Successful completion of First Aid/CPR certification may be required.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

WAGE/SALARY RANGE

  • $72,000 – $78,000 / year

WORK LOCATION

  • 1924 W 21st Street, Chicago, IL 60608
  • Flexibility to travel to other worksites/work assignments required.

SCHEDULE

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday (some weekends and evenings may apply as needed)
  • Remote work days available after probationary period
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
