Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

PRN | Day Shift | Gateway Regional Medical Center | Granite City, Illinois

Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Rehabilitation Services team on a PRN basis.

This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about helping patients regain communication, cognitive, and swallowing function following illness or injury, and who enjoys working in a collaborative acute care environment.

In this role, you will provide evaluation and treatment services for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, including:

• Assessing and treating speech, language, voice, and cognitive impairments
• Providing swallowing evaluations and dysphagia therapy
• Supporting patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neurological conditions
• Developing individualized treatment plans to improve communication and function
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation team members
• Documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes
• Educating patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies

• PRN (as needed)
• Day shifts

• Graduate of an accredited program in Communication Disorders & Sciences
• Current Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Previous experience preferred
