Job Summary
Monday-Friday position/7am-2pm shift time in Urbana ,IL

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafeteria Worker/Dish to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting in food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and organized cafeteria environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a passion for hospitality.

Duties

• Prepare and serve food items in accordance with established recipes and portion sizes.
• Ensure the cafeteria area is clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing their needs promptly.
• Assist in catering events and banquets as required, ensuring high-quality food presentation.
• Handle food safely and efficiently, adhering to all health regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy meal periods.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall operation of the cafeteria.

Experience

• Previous experience in a cafeteria or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Fine dining experience is a plus, along with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
• Customer service skills are essential for interacting with guests effectively.
• Experience in catering or banquet services is advantageous.
• Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and food handling practices is beneficial.
• Barista experience is a nice-to-have for those interested in beverage service within the cafeteria environment.
