Position Overview

The Barista is the face and soul of Sip & Savor. In this role, you’ll craft signature beverages, engage warmly with guests, and embody the kind of hospitality that transforms a transaction into a relationship. Your presence sets the tone, thoughtful, welcoming, and centered around the joy of service.

This isn’t just about great coffee; it’s about creating a place where people feel known, appreciated, and inspired to return.

Hospitality & Guest Engagement

• Deliver intentional, heartfelt greetings by name when known.
• Learn guest preferences and anticipate needs to create personalized service moments.
• Create “The 7th Touch”, those extra, unexpected gestures that leave a lasting impression.
• Approach every interaction with care, curiosity, and genuine presence.

Coffee Craft & Product Quality

• Handcraft beverages and food items to Sip & Savor standards of quality, precision, and presentation.
• Stay informed on seasonal offerings, coffee sourcing, and product storytelling to share with guests.
• Maintain clean, organized, and health-compliant work areas at all times.

Team Collaboration & Culture

• Work in harmony with fellow baristas and lead to create a supportive, unified environment.
• Participate in team huddles, culture sessions, and continuous learning opportunities.
• Contribute to the energy, rhythm, and spirit that make Sip & Savor a welcoming space.

Daily Operations

• Support setup, restocking, cleaning, and end-of-day routines.
• Utilize POS systems efficiently and accurately for orders and transactions.
• Maintain consistency under pressure while delivering excellent service.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, but never rushing the guest experience.
• Curious and committed to personal and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Familiarity with POS and coffee equipment is helpful but can be taught.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
