Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Arterial line management - BiPAP/CPAP management and maintenance - Care of ventilated patients - Central line care and management - Continuous IV sedation - Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) - Management of dysrhythmias - Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure - Suctioning (endotracheal tube, nasotracheal) - Titration of cardiac drips - Titration of vasoactive drips - Ventilator management Description: Position for ICU Registered Nurse on night shifts. Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. No block scheduling available. Every other weekend commitment required. Requests for time off may not exceed five days and should have no more than two consecutive days. No holiday time off allowed or the day prior or following a holiday. Float requirements apply; units may vary based on facility needs. ICU RNs may float between various ICU units and, if staffing requires, medical-surgical units. Orientation plus precepting will begin on day shift for the first week. Local candidates preferred, residing within a 75-mile radius. All certificated experience, including charge experience, is beneficial for this role. Candidates must be responsive to compliance needs and provide references from recent employers.
